W Diameter, Jobber Drill, 2 flutes, HSS, Straight Shank, 130° Point, Right Hand Cut
The Type W drill is a high helix or fast spiral flute form the aides in chip evacuation. High helix drills are best suited for aluminum and mild steel applications where chip packing can be a problem. The Type W style drill has been replaced in many applications by the GT100 parabolic style drill.
