3/4-16 UNF HSS Nitride/Oxide Finish H5 Straight 4 Flute 2B Series 1600 Bottoming Standard Hand Tap
Another member of the Union Butterfield range of taps, 1600 hand taps are manufactured from premium High Speed Steel for extended tool life and superior performance, and are available for UNC and UNF thread forms. These application products conform to the American National Standards Institute and are designed for hand tapping cast iron and short chipping materials. They have straight flutes for threading through and blind holes, and a steam oxide finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting surfaces of the tools so you get a more accurate thread.
