I was once asked by my wife what the goal was for my life. I told her that there was a very simple answer for a very complex question. The simple answer is that I wanted to positively touch as many other lives as possible. I believe if we take this approach to life we would all be better for it. Through my business in Industrial Sales I have had the pleasure and opportunity to travel the State and the Country and meet a lot of different people. I have also, through my personal life of coaching; church and family, met a tremendous amount of people. Even within my own family I have had the opportunity to meet a large number of people, through my children’s accomplishments. My daughter was just given the opportunity to network with a vast number of people as she was named a princess for this year’s Indianapolis 500 festival. However, it is through the short but beautiful life of another princess that I saw my definition of a successful life lived.
Brianna Nichole McQueen, or Princess Bri as she liked to be called, recently passed away from complications from a brain tumor that she valiantly fought for a little over a year. Princess Bri was the daughter of Steve and Angie McQueen. The McQueen family is from my hometown and I have known them for many years. Steve McQueen is also part of the Haggard & Stocking family as he is one of our customers. As I witnessed the trial that Princess Bri and her family lived over the past year I was constantly, humbly amazed about how they not only relied on the love from friends, family and our Heavenly Father, but they also shared it. They shared Princess Bri’s love with all of us who would listen and through her life, I know Bri positively touched lives, not only in small town Indiana but all over world. All the while her family never dwelled on the negative but focused on the positive through their faith in Christ. At Haggard & Stocking, we like to view our employees, vendors and customers a part of our family. I ask that you remember the McQueen family in your thoughts and prayers.
I take pride in the fact that we have the ability to view our extended Haggard & Stocking family the way we do. We try not only to provide tooling and services to our industry but also to make a positive impact on our community as well. I ask that our employees always treat our extended family in a positive manner, which creates a family environment. I think we all need to learn a lesson from Princess Bri and her family and continually look to positively affect those around us and make this world a better place for being here.
May God Bless you all.
